Who knew that given time a slice of petrified bog wood could look so pretty?! It originates from the Oregan - Nevada border in the U.S and formed during the miocene volacanic event which petrified all the wood, vegetation and algae growing in the bog. It gains it colour from the presence of various elements such as iron, aluminium, potassium and sodium.
Each flower and leaf has been cut and formed by hand from sheet silver and soldered in place onto this unique setting. Finished by securing to a silver round linked rolo chain and closes with a bolt ring clasp.
Hangs from a 16 inch (41cm) chain. Pendant measures approx 1 1/2 inches (3.8cm) from top to bottom and 3/4 inch (2cm) at its widest.
