Precious little charoite (or charolite) stones set into sterling silver and finished with a brushed, satin look. The gemstone is relatively new to the Western market (it first made its appearance in the early 1970's) and it originates from the Chara river in Russia. It has chatoyant properties which is just about visible in these small stones and is clean of the usual black inclusions.

They come soldered onto sterling silver earrings posts and are supplied with butterfly backs.
