A full day of sporting the 'Seaham Stoop' resulted in a wonderfully full tub of beautiful sea glass pebbles including this tiny, clear frosted one.
Seaham and the County Durham coastine are world famous for sea glass due to the bottleworks that sprung up here during the Victorian period. Plenty of waste glass ended up being dumped into the sea and over the years they become tumbled by the natural rhythm of the waves over the pebbles.
This perfect little glass pebble has been set into sterling silver onto a hammered silver ring band. The glass has been thoroughly cleaned but not sanded or polished in any way so as to ruin its natural finish.
