This necklace showcases a beautiful ammonite print discovered in an old Victorian fossil guide. It has been scanned, shrunk to size and printed onto archival paper before being set into sterling silver underneath glass.
Alongside it hangs a minty-green, faceted amazonite bead and a tiny seashell handmade from silver clay. Silver clay is a wonderful material in which recycled silver is transformed into a moldable material. Once dry, it can be fired which burns off the organic binder leaving 99.9% pure silver!
The charms dangle from a central hammered silver link that attaches to a sterling silver trace chain. The chain closes with a bolt ring clasp.
