Rare Fossilised Ammonite Sterling Silver Pendant

Hardened over the millenia, this beautiful slice of ammonite has taken on a fantastic shine during polishing and shows the cross sections of the chambers really well. Ammonites were marine animals that lived throughout the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods before finally becoming extinct around 66 million years ago along with the dinosaurs.

The ammonite has been set in fine silver, mounted on sterling silver and decorated with a silver ammonite imprint and recycled silver ball detailing.

On the reverse there is a soldered silver tube for the pendant to be strung on dark brown leather cord that has a sterling silver lobster clasp.

Sizing

The pendant measures 3.3cm at its longest and 1.7cm at its widest.
It comes strung on 2mm dark brown leather cord measuring 18 inches.
