Mid Green Seaham Sea Glass Pebble Pendant Necklace in Sterling Silver

Using traditional stone setting techniques, this genuine sea glass pebble has been set into a unique, sterling silver pendant.

These glass nuggets were collected on the beaches at Seaham, Co Durham which is world renowned for its sea glass due to the Victorian bottleworks that were located along the coastline. Tonnes of reject glass bottles and 'end of day' large blobs of unusable glass were discarded with an awful lot ending up in the sea. The result, several decades later, are these wave tumbled glass pebbles.

The sea glass is kept in place by rubbing the silver over the edges of the pebble. A textured loop is soldered into place with 2 smaller loops attached which allow the pendant to be strung on these gorgeous twisted silver rope chains that close with a bolt ring clasp.

Chain length is 18 inches (46cm).
Pendant length (inc textured loop) is 2cm.
Pendant width is 1.1cm.
